Cape Haze Pioneer Trail, Charlotte County, FDOT District 1
This trail project was designed to maximize the natural beauty experience of the landscape so that people of all ages can enjoy this recreational trail. The project involved designing nearly two miles of an eight foot asphalt trail to connect a path along CR 771 to the existing Cape Haze Pioneer Trail. A 300 foot bridge spanning the Coral Creek East Branch was included along with restoration plantings in this tidal basin.
