Engineer 1 – Maitland

The Engineer will be responsible for producing roadway and traffic control design plans utilizing CADD software; developing quantities, cost estimates, pavement designs, typical sections, 3D modeling, and lane closure calculations; field work to measure, review, and photo document existing conditions; performing roadway calculations; preparing reports and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Good written and verbal communication skills and basic computer skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • OpenRoads Designer, Microstation, and 3D modeling
  • 2+ years of experience in roadway design
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering
  • E.I. or P.E. Certification
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License

marking, and ITS plans as a prime consultant, subconsultant, and in-house support.

Requirements:

  • 12-20 years of progressive design experience in Traffic Design and Engineering
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering
  • Florida P.E. professional registration
  • Recent Florida Department of Transportation experience
  • Project Management experience
  • OpenRoads Designer experience

Highway Engineer/Project Manager – Tampa

We are seeking a Highway Engineer/Project Manager for a full-time position in the Tampa office.

The successful applicant will be the engineer of record for 3D modeling (Bentley ORD) and all aspects of
roadway design and plans development, pursuit of projects (including interviews and presentations), and
managing task assignments.

  • 5 – 10 post-registration years of progressive design experience in Highway Engineering
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
  • Florida professional engineering registration

PD&E Service Manager – Tampa

Faller, Davis, and Associates, Inc. (FDA) is looking for an exceptionally qualified candidate to build a PD&E service group in our Tampa office.  If you are currently working in a position like this – or are ready to move up to this position — take a look at our exciting opportunity!

The PD&E Service Manager will have experience leading a PD&E Project Team, and be a self-starting, self-motivated and self-managed professional, and be up to the challenge of starting a PD&E Service Group at FDA.

This position will be responsible for building a PD&E Service Group at FDA and will include marketing to existing and new clients, conducting presentations and interviews, managing PD&E projects and supervising and mentoring staff members.

  • 8 – 10 years of progressive experience in the preparation and management of PD&E studies
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Planning
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) License in the State of Florida
  • FDOT PD&E experience; NEPA experience; and experience working with FHWA, permitting agencies and local agencies
  • Commitment to customer satisfaction
  • Ability to lead
